First off, snakes are not poisonous, they are Venomous. Poisons are absorbed by the body, such as through the skin or digestive system. While venoms go directly into the tissues or the blood stream.
If I'm correct, which I think I am. Venomous snakes have more of a arrow shape head. Non-venomous have more rounded. So that snake aint gonna harm you. Ppobalby just break a little skin.
As far as what kind of snake it is, hmmm. It has a pattern of a ball python. But the head seems a little to small. Its prolly just a garden or water snake. Thats as big as the get if its either of the the two.

Your brave picking up a snake you know nothing about. Because that snakw does look similar to a copperhead and cottonmouth snakes which are two types of venomous snakes in georgia.
copperhead(But as you can tell, the head is diff. then the one you posted.)

cottonmouth/water moccosin(Nose is to pointy, diff then the one youposted.)

Lol. So far to me as well that would be my guess. If I were him I'd bring it somewhere to have someone look at it, or contact someone that might know, like animal control or someting!

just open it's mouth, if you see fangs, then it's a cottonmouth. if it has lots of tiny teeth, then it's a ball python.

It aint no ball python. The head is to small. If it was a cottonmouth, he would know by now. They don't **** around.
