My current gf of like a month found out she was 3 months pregnant with her ex's child...they don't speak and she's not SUPPOSED to be able to have kids. And as much as it technically isn't my problem, I told her I wasn't going to leave her just b/c she was pregnant. Most guys would run for the hills but she was going to have the child(which she found out happened to be triplets) and I to be honest was stoked (I started looking at baby racing/car seats lol). I would man up, there is no doubt about it. I have actually been in this situation 3 times, and yes I'm only 20. I was completely ready for it to happen, until the first time, when she told me she was lying the whole time. The other two times she (different long term g/f) had mis-carrages. It sucked hardcore. So, I did'nt really feel like a dumbass, just felt like someone that had something taken from me. As far as the abortion ish goes......I am against it, but in certain circumstances I think it is plausible, (ie, rape, ect). Thank God, that my biological mother didn't hit the abort button when I was born, because something better happened to me....it was called adoption. I, personally, think that adoption is one of the best things in the world. It's a crying shame when a couple aren't given the blessing of having their own child, and all these deadbeats run around just popping children out. Thank goodness for all the people out there that would take care of what they have created, wheather it be raising their child, or letting someone adopt to better the situation by raising the child themselves.

It really depends on the situation, I would always take responsibility but for some people an abortion is the only option. At the middle school down the street from me there were six pregnancies last year, I mean come on. Abortion is the right thing to do in a situation like that. As of now if I got my girlfriend pregnant we would definitely get an abortion and I would pay for it. Because of our plans for school having a kid could potentially end what both of us plan on doing. I respect the viewpoint of abortion being wrong and it would kill me to do it, but sometimes you have to look at things from a realistic viewpoint if you're young.

I was in that situation and I can honestly say that initially I thought about jumping ship and I brought up abortion because at that point I had no kids, was a med student at Emory, and I felt like a kid would have been detrimental to my goals. After a lot of thinking and reflection on the issue, I knew that the only option was for me to man up and take care of my responsibilities but I unfortunately married her in doing so. My daughter from that pregnancy is now 2 and I have another child by my ex is who is 8 months old. I have also adopted and taken care of a child my ex had prior to our relationship just as if she was mine biologically and would never trade my children for anything in this world.

well im 24 and have lived through a lot of **** in my life so i believe iv seen enough where id like to settle down lol.....is not to say you still cant see things in life with a kid i think it would be more of an adventure with a kid :)

Anyone that has a kid will tell you that you're never fully ready for a child..
They're fun and adorable and will show you all the love in the world but there's way more to it than all that... and no amount of reading books or watching ppl with kids or even playing and holding someone elses child will get you ready..the staying up while they're sick, the crying for no reason, the bad stages and all of that is never fun. You will go through all kinds of shiit that you have zero idea of how to deal with but I can say that at the end of the day, it's all worth it.

My best friend in highschool became a pregnant cocaine addict and was baring the child of an illegal alien....talk about some drama. The dad bailed, she "quit" drugs, and appeared on my front door step(after 3 years of not speaking)a year ago looking for somewhere to stay(no family). I'm not saying that I've "been there" but I've definitely witnessed how this stuff happens first hand. Unfortunately she had a miscarriage, and mooched off of me for 9 months until I came home from work and she had left with her boyfriend and went down to stateboro and is hooked on blow again.

Its just sad to see how this crap happens. Her "boy" left so she turned to me, which I'm glad she did but unfortunately it was too late for the child. I hate guys who bail, or push the girl into an abortion. Man up guys, if your not ready to have a kid quit risking it. plain and simple. I'm 21 but I see a child as a blessing, thankfully financially and emotionally I think I could handle a child, just not ready yet. just my:2cents:

I don't care what anyone says.. Getting a damn abortion isn't as sick as the ****ers that take those damn pictures. Who the hell just takes pictures of dead fetuses? And it's not like you give birth to a dead little baby. They remove it from your body. They should protest the people who take pictures of the procedure.

If it come down to it. I wouldn't ever recommend abortions. I don't like the idea of something that was being created being destroyed. As much as I ****ing hate kids, if I ever got a girl pregnant I would definitely stand up and take responsibility. Being careful has gotten me this far though.
