I went today. This was my 8th year in a row and i felt it was good overall.
Kinda stupid to have that robotics wars thing at the same time as the show cause walking back and forth between halls was annoying.
Cars vise......... The chick at the Nissan GT-R display refused to show me under the hood stating that Nissan has 2 in the country (BIG ASS LIE), and that their are worried that the hood latch will get broken.
........SO.....i wipe out my camera phone and show the pic of the GT-R at Z1 motorsports with it's hood open, She stopped talking after that. :D
The Aston Martin DBS was beautiful but as has been the past couple of years, going over to the Butler Tire display just doesn't impress. I really really disliked the Mansory DBS. It had ugly and obviously nonfunctional pieces that ruin the lines of the best looking car there. I was disgusted by it.
My last gripe was the fact that Porsche was absent for the 3rd year in a row. It was 2005 when Porsche was last at the AJC show and it makes no sense for them not to showcase their product there. (If Ferrari, Aston, and Mercedes Benz will go, so should Porsche.
Both the STI and EVO X were there but were either locked or on a turning display. (Makes allot of sense )
Cars i thought are worth seeing.
1. Nissan GTR
2. Aston Martin DBS
3. Corvette ZR1
4. BMW M3 E92
5. Dodge Challenger
6. Mercedes Benz S63 AMG
7. BMW 135i
8. Lexus IF-F
9. Audi R8/ Audi S5
10. Honda S2000 CR (No Really)
The IS-F Gran Turismo 5 demo was fun, i got first place with out hitting anyone and using a proper line around the track, yes i know they forced it to use the automatic. What else was getting me mad was a 3 year old got on and spent 5 MINUTES GOING THRU TURN 1, the blond chick running the machine just kept watching and was like it turns off a 4 mins. SHE WAS WRONG.
But yeah.....worth the $10
^^ good
*im not a porsche fan anyway* :)

911 rules all :)
This is true. I went in 05 and if Porsche isn't there, I'm not either. Hell, they don't even go to the Detroit show either. They don't sell many cars there, so they don't even go. lol

meh, i can respect them... but they dont do it for me...

What's even more ridiculous is that fact that the Porsche logo could be seen amongst the list of Auto Manufactures present at the show.
But the only Porsche there was a ruined Techart at the Butler Tire booth. Man i wish a standard Turbo/GT3/GT2 could sit next to it so people could see why simple perfection is best.

Didn't check, i think they write that on the engine cover right?
You know i checked the web to try and find a pic but couldn't find one with the same kit. Maybe it wasn't a Techart but i think i saw Techart wheels.
Ok, Someone take a PIC of the 911 at the Butler tire booth and post it.

I think my ban was lifted early. Maybe because it was kind of a bull**** call. :dunno: I still laugh about all the f@ggots sitting there, d1ck in hand, waiting to jerk off to some child porn and then seeing old d1ck. LOLOLOL

Just came back from the show after spending about two and a half hours looking at booth babes and of course, cars :D 'Twas great except that the best cars were cordoned off. :(
Anyhow, I clicked a truck load of pics .. lookout for a new thread in the pics section!
Here are some tips for those planning to check out the show later today or next week:
1. Wasting $10 bucks for parking is a waste of time and money. Did you ask how its a waste of time? Well, you gotta walk .. walk like a donkey. Street parking is available in Marigold St. that's right across the entrance to Hall C. There were 15 odd cars parked there, including 3 of my friends. Since that particular intersection is quite crowded, there is a close to zero probability of some mofo gangsta wannabe messing with your car. I left my Miata's top open .. no problems at all.
2. The first hall right after entering the show where most of the action is - IS-F, GTR, Camaro, Challenger, ZR1, electrics/hybrids, HUMMERS (for ya SUV fans) etc. The second hall is primarily for classics (Challenger, Camaro, NSX) and exotics (Ferraris, Lambos, Astons)
3. Refreshments are a complete waste of dough. We took our own bottles of water.
4. No credit cards. Cash only at the main ticket booth. There is a very small booth to the left that takes debit/check cards.
That's all for now.
