How are any of the Lexus hybrids better than the Audi TT which has a lower carbon footprint!?! The ranking should be:
1. Audi TT, Carbon Footprint: 7.1 annual tons
2. Audi A3, 7.3
2. Lexus RX400h, 7.3
3. Audi A4 2.0T, 7.7
3. Lexus IS 250, 7.7
4. Lexus LS 600h L, 8.7
2. Lexus GS 450h, 8.0

If you are a mostly highway driver there is absolutely no case for a hybrid which in addition requires a hefty premium over gasoline engines plus it carries all those heavy batteries and hybrid drive components. The highway mileage for a hybrid is at best the same as a gasoline engine. Clean diesels are much much better on the highway than hybrids and more than make up for the carbon emissions in city driving. Multiple tests have shown that diesels offer better overall mileage than hybrids.

Why do the three Lexus hybrids top the list when they clearly produce more “pollutants” than the Audi TT?

Where is the Acura TSX and TL? Certainly they pollute less than many of the models that made it into this “premium” model list.

Hybrid placement is a joke.

I take back what I said about you being the car god EJ25RUN. Lexus makes some of the worlds finest automobiles. Never will another luxury sedan be as well built as was the Lexus LS400.

Um, I said what i said because the hybrid thing just isn't as amazing as Toyota wants us to believe.

Have you ever stepped foot in Goodwood's Rolls Royce factory?

Rolls Royce is an uber-luxury sedan IMO. IN its class, the Lexus LS400 is still the most reliable, toughest, longest lasting since its release.

However, tis the thing new cars suck. Lets face it.

Rolls is an uber luxery brand. But i made a generic statement cause you did.

Lexus is a fine automobile, there's no question against that......even though it's doing poor in Japan. Just look at that list, do you see something wrong with it?

what is tis?

To each his own I guess, the new Lexus's don't please me as much as the old LS/GS's did.

Tis is just a saying...like it's butt tis.

I see, i've proved my noobness already today.

Really i do prefer older cars as well. But i'll admit, in the recent 2-3 years we've been seeing cars that we havn't since the early 90's. And that goes from everybody Europe America and Japan.
