Seen here undergoing some on-track testing, the SV will reportedly serve up some 680 horsepower from its Lambo V12 behind the seats. It will also be lighter than a normal Murcielago by 220 pounds. Clearly visible on the car is a new fixed rear wing that's either meant to assist in take offs or stabilize the car at high-speeds. Expect carbon fiber to be a common build material, as well. Those are all some potent variables for a formula that guarantees a fun time.

My opinion, Im excited. I've always waited for Lamborghini to rid Feruchio approach to racing and now that a car is competing in FIA GT and SuperGT, it's a good sign. The Diablo SV was prolly the most fun to drive version and the Murcielago looks very good with the wing.

nice
always thought the awd on a super was dumb
unless its because of enormous amounts of power

It's a very high tech system that keeps these cars in check and let's face it, most people buying Lambo's cant really handle a fast car. On the other hand, the SV will hopefully be purchased by people who can really drive the car and prove what a good chassis the Murcielago really has.

...and the Murcielago looks very good with the wing.

Let's agree to disagree.

Wing looks VERY out of place I think.

Needs big SV written across the side.

...I just came on my computer screen.

HOLY SH!T. THAT IS HOT AS HELL.

And Simon is right, it needs SV on the side like the Diablo had.

wing = no.

The wing is there for weight savings as now the side raised wings have been removed. The anti rice wing army is annoying.

eh, i do not like the wing or the offset on the front wheels, however if i owned that car, i'm sure i would not be complaining

The wing is awesome and goes back to the glory days of Countach and Diablo. The Gallardo Superleggera looked awesome with a wing, and the Murciealgo always looked naked without one. So I'm happy to see it on there now.

How do you know that's RWD? Could be a German ricer's LP640.

Anyhow, wing is a strict no-no. Bright orange paintwork FTL .. overplayed IMO. White with orange stripes a la GT3 would look so much better.

....orange and wing sure don't make a supercar eh?

Not necessarily. The Gallardo Superleggera with its wing and orange paintwork looks sexy. The orange LP560 on display at Manhattan Motorcars looks amazing. The GT3-RS looks amazing too, simply because it comes across as a purpose built car for track days.
But this looks as if the owner got a free Honda wing off fleabay.

you people and your wing issues... a car with that much power to the rear wheels.. needs that..

No for the wing, maybe a different design on the wing would look better or a slightly more discreet one. I'm sure this is the most functional though.

Sick ride though

I actually like the wing (coming from someone who chose a wingless wrx). Exotics can easily get away with big wings. It's not like it's a pepboys aluminum piece. I think the car is hot :goodjob:
