by both due to too many failures.

NINE, yes NINE failures in one race weekend Vipers.

Apparently the PCA is on their way to banning HRE's as well.

The racers have always called them "Fools Fashion" and I thought that was a little rough until I started seeing them fail at track events and how easily they bend and corrode.

Then, after Leslie had problems with hers corroding and I spoke with one of the owners, I realized quickly they were WAY out of reality as to strength and design.

Wasn't really surprised that they were banned (was at the meeting), but was surprised at ALL the problems reported.

Unreal for such an expensive wheel.

Apparently tolerances are sooooo poor that the tires often rotate on the wheels themselves as the rims are often slightly too small.

here

http://forums.audiworld.com/lrqc/msgs/41036.phtmllol @ corroding, there is not a wheel made that can stand up to the shrapnel of aggressive race brake pads and rotors...it will pit and destroy just about every finish imaginable.

LOL. Personally I would not drive that car if someone gave it to me. The olor ruins the car and the wheels don't look right on it.

Sorry bro but look at it this way. No body expects anything out a stock eclipse. But if you pull up in an Aston Martin people expect you to have some kind of taste and that car looks like Stevie Wonder picked it out.

Because its yellow? The fact that you have enough taste to buy an Aston Martin speaks enough. if you have enough money to buy an AM then who cares what someone else thinks of your car.

Cultural associations
In the English language, yellow has traditionally been associated with jaundice and cowardice. In American slang, a coward is said to be "yellowbellied" or "yellow".
"Yellow" ("giallo"), in Italy, refers to crime stories, both fictional and real. This association began about in 1930 because the first series of crime novels published in Italy had a yellow cover.

Man for 500 dollars you can get so much more. But I really like the car color, it makes it not seem like a Jaguar and really seems like an exotic. But I wish the wheels were deep dish in the back. That would look really nice.

Dam! I would drive that car any day. And I think the wheels look awesome. Can't believe they're not a quality piece though. I mean wasn't that their selling point?

"Yellow" ("giallo"), in Italy, refers to crime stories, both fictional and real. This association began about in 1930 because the first series of crime novels published in Italy had a yellow cover.Since we're talking about automobiles here, there used to be national colors in racing and British cars were assigned the color green, Italian cars red, French cars blue, white or silver for German cars, etc. Then sponsorships came about and company colors were used.

Not to mention canary yellow is the symbolic color of Modena Italy (Ferrari shield of arms).

Personally I'm not a huge fan of green cars (other than old Land Rovers and other British vehicles) but I don't like the yellow on the Aston Martin...it should be green, silver, black or something subtle that symbolizes class, not HEY LOOK AT ME I DRIVE AN ASTON MARTIN!! That's why you see yellow and orange Lamborghini's all the time. I understand what Aston is doing though, they are attempting to make their car appealing to another type of buyer.
