hey guys i was wondering if there was any advantage to having the mirrors on the front end closer to the front of the car other than looking amazing

thats just how the japanese did the mirrors over in japan. no real benefit, just "jdm"

I think the reason behind placing the mirrors on the fenders of the cars was for visibility. It's easier to check a mirror those mirrors because they are placed directly in the driver's field of vision when in forward motion. Mirrors mounted on the doors, like most late model cars, the driver has to turn his/her head at the worst and shift his/her vision away from the road at the least to check for anything in those mirrors.

good point!!! thats what i was thinking.. that and in most foreign countries the roads are super narrow so that would be safer thanks!

Since the distance between the driver eyes and the mirrors is greater the effect of objects in the mirror being closer than they appear is worsened. Not that it matters...

the one up front are standard mirrors not convex. you can see farther around the back of the car with them

They werent just on Nissans, they were on most classic JDM models.
