ALso thinking about used... SO what other makes/models are good? Input on electical problems, quality, any other problems please!

Jeeps do not hold their value well at all. You could probably pick up a 2000 Cherokee (though its not on your list) for under 4k.

Wow- might wanna clarify. Jeep Cherokee's may not hold their value well but I can tell you a Jeep Wrangler holds its value better than most everything else, it has an extremely high resale rate...

If your looking for fun, not speed or handling, but pure fun (and hell, its a panty dropper...) go with a Wrangler. Its fun to drive and I couldnt imagine not having one around anymore.

i wouldn't mind getting an old Renegade or something like that. picking a new car is a big decision that i also have trouble with. good luck on picking 1.

You can buy a used WRX for 15-17 grand. Though you'll be missing out if you get an automatic.

Scion TC is a pretty nifty little car too, imo.

what an interesting collection of cars you are looking at, apparently it doesnt matter the number of doors, performance level , mileage or anything else for that matter, its all optional. just goto a dealership and let them pick something out for you lol.

I'm suggesting you start going and test driving some of those. That will narrow down your list real fast.

Yes, auto for a few reasons
1. I have manual now and as much as I enjoy it the shifting gets annoying in traffic and tiring.
2. Better trade in value.
3. Dont have to worry about replacing a clutch...

OK. Ill look into mazda.

WHat are ur thoughts on the older corollas, camry's, etc? I might just want to trade in for a used one.

I'll drive an auto when someone buys me an E55 or SL65 AMG. :D

if you care nothing about over all performance an automatic is fine, if you actually like to drive your car a manual is the ONLY way to go , period. this has been in a million other threads and if you disagree please read the other post.

that being said , if you are looking for something with decent aftermarket support reliable as hell and gets good gas milage, dont over look the accord..

the clutch will last you over 60k miles as long as you are a good driver... an automatic has alot of things that can go wrong with it lol. same thing with 4x4... sure if your gonna use it, it's a nice thing to have, but it's also a shit load more maintnance and more expensive to repair.

^^ yea but the biggest thing is I hate all the shifting when I get in lots of traffic. Plus I need something with better trade in (auto).

SO what goes wrong on 4wd?

Get a new accord... 2 door or 4, get a V-6 (240 hp), 30 mpg, and an auto... plus you can get them loaded to teeth and they have aftermarket...
