so my car was all messed up with the steering and would yank the wheel over to the left with every rotation of the wheels. Then it would stop for a couple weeks and then it would do it again...now it won't drive at all. Does this sound like an axle problem? Or transmission? I mean the tranny never grinded or anything...

now when you are saying yank, do you mean turning left? And what noise is it making? i.e. ( click, click, when you turn?)

like click click bang bang pop pop and it jerks the wheel left while I'm driving straight, whether I'm in gear or neutral

i doult your axle is broke for example say your letf axle is broke and you get on it it will pull hard to the right and of it's making clicking noises then put some more grease in the boot

turns out the driver side axle is completely broken at the joint closest to the wheel. I'm pretty sure this is my problem but would this cause the car to not stall even with it in gear and the car not moving?

Go into more detail about the starting/running prob, could be a whole seperate issue.
