I also wouldn't get a tattoo unless I knew that I would love it for the rest of my life. If you have to make an IA poll to decide that, then you might need to think a bit longer.

Plus, tribal tattoos are extremely played out IMO.

I don't recall where I heard this advice, but I definitely think it's good.

Pick out which tattoo design you like. Take a picture of it and blow it up to poster size. Hang it on the wall of your bedroom for a year. If you still like it after that, then get the tattoo.
