No more S/C here. I traded the stock kit for a paint job and a ton of body work. I am going to run whatever it takes to hit 300 WHP

How many psi you gonna run?

Why do you ask?

It doesn't matter. He said he is going for 300 whp.

Don't tune for a number man unless racing puts food on your plate... that's a good way to eat a block. Run a good safe tune - don't run it on the ragged edge just to get a dyno. Loox good tho - GL!

yeah you can hit that easily w/ the turbo and a built block, gl on it man

wha motor is it going on

Pickleteg
04-03-2008, 04:49 AM
It is going on an LS engine and the block is built with Mahle pistons and Eagle rods so 300 WHP is my goal. The head is Portflow built with Supertech SS valves and springs and Crower 402T cams and I have a 3'' DP into a 3'' Thermal Cat-back. I could run more on this thing but I don't really wanna.

Movin on up! Got her running last night on stock injectors and ECU. I just let her idle though to check for leaks...all was good. Now I need to get my base map, finish wiring in the AVC-R and get this baby on the rollers!:D

Thanks guys...I tried to put on the bumper on last night but somehow I had the intercooler on a little crooked and I had to pop the pipes off and do some rearranging. Hopefully I can get it on today

Got her fully operational today...the CEL is on but that is cause I have no O2 sensor yet...the bung needs welded on. Everything is ready to be taken to Carter Race for some minor exhaust work and a good tune. I hope to drop it of Monday of this week.

She is on the dyno right now. I just talked to Justin and the damn distributor messed up again the the rotor flew off. I guess it is new distributor time. Hey said it made 210 Wtq on the 7 pound spring so we will see how she does after she doesn't cut out after 5000

patrick4588

We have had the privilege to work with Jason (Picketeg) over the last couple of years - first tuning his JRSC LS setup and now tuning his new PeakBoost turbo setup. The motor is a pistons / rods LS with 10:1 compression on stock sleeves, ported head and the regular bolt ons. The new turbo kit works MUCH better then the old JRSC. Paint was done by SneezinDC5 - which looks really good! I would recommend him to anyone looking for a good paint job at the right price.

The difference in the supercharger and turbo are very apparent in the following graphs.

SUPERCHARGER - 12PSI
TURBO - 9PSI

So, with less boost on the same exact motor and setup you get the following results.

Amazing isn't it?

The car is making 247hp on the wastegate spring, we have decided to keep it there for now since the clutch in the car is not very good and we don't want to burn it up... Jason is looking for a new clutch now, so the magic (and easily obtainable) 300 mark is next!

This is one smart build. Nice to see someone who goes about things the right way. You're making more power than I am. lol. 247 is a lot for a car that size. Good **** man! Keep us posted.

i have the synchronic blow off valve and wastegate. the wastegate worked really well when i was running off the spring. i have pwm control thru my ecu this time around, and we will see how it does.
