Alright guys heres the deal, last night i took my h22 to go get tuned everything was fine and dandy on the dyno was runngin fine and the tuning went fine. well when i left the shop i drove a little ways and decided to feel the power i had just made well that didnt happen. Whenever i give the motor full throttle it skipps and jumps very violently and is very irratic. It drive perfectly normal if its is being daily driven but if you give it any gas it goes crazy. Every time it acts weird i turn the car off and then back on again and the problem is fixed untill i try to floor it again. Any ideas as to what it might be. the chipped ecu doesnt read EGR either if that helps (im thinking it may be the TPS?)

take it back to the shop that tuned it and have them look at it.

Im gonna check all my sensors a little later today, i have a spare 02 sensor i gonna try that as well. its just weird that it onlys does when i floor it and the problem stays after that even daily driving untill i restart the car.... making me think it is a sensor being reset just dont know which one. There is no check engine lights on either. i would take it back to the shop but its about and hour and a half away. Anybody else got any suggestions?

one time my old mx3 did that, but it was because of me accidently wiring my o2 signal to my ignition signal...lol thats what happens when u work in the dark.. if that helps any..

o **** I didn't even remember this till now. Whens the last time you replaced the cat? if its gotten progressively worse over the last couple days it will do that, my buddy's drove like absolute **** for 2 months cause we couldn't think of what it was

^ he has no cat. just a resinator.

o2 sensor then...was it running lean or rich? might wanna pull spark plugs and check them

i changed the 02 sensor nothing changed, and the TPS seems fine, all sensors look to be fine as well. Im just gonna have to take it back to the shop that did the tuning. The tuner did mess with the timing and stuff that might be the problem.

i have the same problem! except my tach jumps all over the place with it.if tach goes crazy could be distributor myfriends was messed up and it would jump to like 8k when he hit it

its not just the tach though you can feel the car is actually stuttering and jolting

tell him he messed it up and you want free tuning next time ;)...btw I found another f20a so i will still be getting the old accord back togethor

if tach goes crazy could be distributor myfriends was messed up and it would jump to like 8k when he hit it could be it but like cb7tuner said the car jumps too. then again that could explain why my car isnt getting spark right now...

im thinking that this problem would be from fuel delivery...well lack of it. instead of punching down on the throttle to reach say.. 70 for example, ease into it and just take it easy getting there. does it still surge?

Ive tried doing the above and no it doesnt surge unless i punch it ive gotten it up to 90 not punching it and it doesnt do it, ive even let the rpms rise slowly but go all the way up to 7,500 rpm in 1st to see if it would still do it but it doesnt only after its been floored.

ok.. well thats what i figured, umm.. is there smoke after you floor it? it could be that your missing in a cylinder. another easy thing would be check spark plugs. gap em and do the basic visual check to see if theyre alright.

done that the plugs ... too the plugs look normal, not white or dark black. no it doesnt really smoke well not more than normal it is a vtec motor has always smoked a little. Another thing it does is in the mornings when ive parked the car over night it has a reall really hard time starting in the morning but after its been started once it starts fine for the rest of the day untill it sits over night again....weird i know

you checkout out that dizzy? you might have water in there...or mildew from over time

do you have any kind of EMS?..i've heard about the hard start ups coming from that. how extensive was the tuning that this guy did.? i think you would be safe in going to ask him what he thinks. if he has any kind of buisness in dealing with a complicated thing like the comp. then he should know how to fix it.

try a different ECU, or a stock one at least and see what happens

Check your TPS, Map, or dizzy. With known good sensors.

When it skips is it hesitating to climb in RPMS or is just jumping ridiculously and climbing at the same time?

update. it was a fried ecu. and the tuner cleaned up everything a lot.

as for the hard cold starting in the morning thats usually the thermo valve, when it fails it takes a few tries to start it when its cold. but for the other stuff, give the intake mani a once over. unless the ecu thing above me is it then glad its fixed.
