A cute little Mazda 323 started life very simple and just...

But somehow the owner wasn't too convinced on the engine/drivetrain combo...

So one KLZE plus the correct engine mounts later...

Added all the right parts, harness and all....

Some lowering springs, a decent set of wheels and a rear disc conversion, we have this...

**** Yo honduhs, this is a sleeper. Stock KLZE the way it sits running mid to low 13's out the box.

I've had the misfortune of riding in a 323, and I don't think there is a motor nice enough to convince me to drive one. But this car is definitely well done.

Didn't they make an AWD 323/626? That'd be badass with a swap.

Yeah, the 323 GTX and the GTR. Those things were nasty with upgrades and were all turbo. I think the GTX was the lower pressure turbo and the GTR had more boost. Both were AWD.

And yes, the 626 was also built in AWD, but it didn't share transmissions with the GTR. They sold the GTR's in almost every country except for North America.

My friend is a Mazda guy and I remember him telling me to get this AWD 323/626 on Craigslist. Either way, seems like it would be awesome AWD with a swap/alot of boost.:D

Nice, my friend has a boosted 02 Protege, it's quick so I can only imagine that power in on of those 323.

That's ok. I can fit 225 series tires in my wheel well with no problem and 235's if I change the offset, can you? :taun:
