I just got an e-mail for an offer on my Civic Coupe. I didn't want to post up here and jink it but i couldn't help it. If i sell this car that means i'll be buying either a convertable 350z, hard top 350z, or if i can find a nice used 1 in my budget, a G35!!! I hope and pray i sell this car. Wish me luck!!!!

if i can find 1 for 26k then i'd deffinatley buy it! i'm thinking more along the lines of a black G35 w/black 19's & blacked windows. I need it as a daily driver so i can't go to exteme. but i know i could get a 350z for kinda cheap and have it looking good.

I saw a carribean blue G35 for $26k. If you were to go used with a G35 I say get an 04 or late 03.. the early 03's had a lot of issues. The newer G35's dont offer the brembo brakes as an option.

fuck that... get a mk4 twin supra... u can cop one easy for around what you're tryin to spend.

i want some thing new (not show room new, just 03+) and it needs to last me a good 4-5 years. If i go with a G35 then its going to have to be used. Tony, you said the 03's had some issues? Serious enough issues to where i need to be looking at 04's?

Transmission issues were common in the 03's but are usually replaced under warranties..I had that problem.

Also oil consumption was/is a problem but that is more random than anything. Nobody can seem to pinpoint what is causing it and there is no real fix, they just have to replace the engine.

A lot of the bugs were worked out with the 04's. The early Z's have the same problem though.

Nigerian scam I think.

I just got another e-mail from them explaining the situation. They asked for my mailing address and phone number. They are going to send a check in the amount of the car. Then a courier will be at the house to pick up the car no later than 24 hour later after cashing the check to pick up the car and take it to a place to ship it to Canada. So i guess i'm actually selling it. I want to get rid of this car but it always hurts to see projects go, even if they are ricey. Hope this works out right!!!

Thankfully, i got int touch with Swifty and warned him of this scam, everything he told me added up. Sending more money than he was asking and he gives cash back, etc (that was big one that redflagged).

He isnt doing it... thankfully.

Good luck with the sale man!

When I was selling my Audi, I'd have those scam fuckers emailing me everyday saying my client wants to buy your car, yadda yadda yadda. Don't mess with them. Most buyers will be local and you will know if its legit. Don't bother with those sending you checks and having some courier pick it up. The only people I know do that are ones that are throwing $200,000 into a Lambo or Ferrari.

Not always the case, SOmetime you have legit buyers from out of state and country.

Paul sold his focus to a kid in canada and his old VW CABI to a lady in NY. So sometimes could be true. Now just do good research before doing that scam.

You are right, but sometimes you just gotta go above and beyond these days. I generally didn't bother with out of country buyers.

It usually takes the bank two weeks to figure out the check is no good, even after it clears. I was getting the exact same thing when I was selling my truck.

im gettin the exacct thing now with trying to sell my dirtbike... i found a coupple of things that i look out for, one is that they say they are drwaing money from a us american bank, they also say a certified cashier check, and they also say to put the rest of the money for the shipping company when they come to get it. i supposibly had 2 checks already sent to me for my bike but still havent seen a single one.? good thing you found out first b4 you let your ride go. but hopoe it sells soon.
