I've been looking into some new wheels for my car. Anyone every purchased ADR wheels? I see them all over ebay, but they seem a tad cheap. Dunno. How is the quality? how are they? Just curious. I like how they look, just don't want to spend my money on crap.

I had some on my prelude and I never had a problem out of them. They are very nice for the $ :goodjob:

Both ADR wheels posted are nice!
My first set of wheels were ADR and I was satisfied for the price.
i'm partial to the second set. :)

one more thing...Are they heavy? The favorable reviews I'm seeing are really swaying me towards a set. Thanks for the replies.

well, if ur going for the lightest wheels, your going to have to pay a lot more per rim. the are average weight.

I know I'm going to pay more for a lighter rim, but the other rims I"m looking at weigh in at 25lbs for an 18" rim. If they come below the magic number (25), I'm sold.

the ones you posted above were 28lbs in 19inch (ones i had) so i would assume they would be around 25-26 for 18inch

I think you ought to go for 17's with some 245/45 series tires

my only complaint with the one set I had on my civic is that the clearcoat flaked off after a few months... i recleared them and didnt have a problem after that...

MY gf has had the same set of ADR wheels for a couple of years. They still look good and I like them.

dont hit any pots holes in them, a buddy of mine had two sets, and both bent easy on mild pot holes at 35-55mph

had some 18s elite on a 240 and they worked perfectly for the price, and currently have a set of 20' sterlings on my s10 and absolutely no complaints. unless i win a lottery or something i will stick with adr's for future vehicles.
i have 17s and ive had no problems at all with em
