No way to tape out the back of my car. The rear glass is too small. We'll need a chaser.. (One with a mexican DL ;))

i've been waiting for this call out..

you going to :nx:?

also if you are coming up for Formula D (may 9th and 10th) we can do it then :goodjob:

also what run do you want?

i want a 30-130 :D

Dietcoke
03-29-2008, 12:53 PM
Wont need to spray. At any rate, the wet kit isn't going on until after I get the final tunes worked out and I can really see what wiggle room is left in the fuel system or if I'll have to go with a boost a pump type setup. I might come by for formula D. Let me check some details and times and stuff.

Loser buys gas :goodjob:

Oh, and 30-130 is good. That's 2-4 for me, more or less. After 130 my aero sucks anyway (CD of a truck. .42 ouch)

On_Her_Face
03-29-2008, 12:59 PM
ok, cause if you were spraying, i'd need to get some stuff done to my car lol

Dietcoke

Yeah, honestly I have no idea what the power is going to be like. It makes 300/330 now, but peaks at 4900rpm. Stock hairdryer just runs out of gay. The 5027 isn't really big, but it's similar in size to a 20g, and is a ball bearing turbo. Should at least carry 23-25psi to redline at 7k instead of peak at 4900 like the stocker. Supplier says it's good for 425, but I doubt I'll see that much on pump gas. I think we should be pretty even.

Manic
03-29-2008, 01:44 PM
If it's similer to a 20g, then you should be around high 300's. Depending on how much boost you run. Do you know how much you're putting down to the wheels, or is your 300/300 just a guess? STI's say 300/300 but it's really like 240/270. Either way, this should be an interesting run, Ive never seen a Sky in a run.

... That two hour drive from Columbus is gonna suck though!

Dietcoke

300/330 WHEEL hp/torque.

298.7/331.4 to be exact. Very un-stock.

Dietcoke

PTE (the manufacturer) rates the 5027 at 450hp

Exhaust wheel Inducer 2.559" (65mm) Exducer 2.121" (54mm)
Compressor wheel Inducer 2.123" (53.9mm) Exducer 3.000" (76.2mm)
.48 A/R Mitsubishi flange

I'm not 100% familiar with turbo wheels but they told me it was slightly bigger then a 20g with better spoolup characteristics because it's a ball bearing turbo and is fully ported. I'm sure someone with more expertise in this area can make something of the above data?

Nice numbers. You're about as fast as a stage 2 STi right now. How much does your car weight?

Dietcoke
03-29-2008, 02:20 PM
2800 pounds or so with a half tank. 200lb driver

holy crap, your car is 2000lbs lighter than mine. with that size turbo and pump gas. you will prob see between 360-390whp. and at that weight you will be quick as hell

I'm expecting at least 400 on pump when everything is settled. This motor is miles ahead of the 4g/sr20/dodge srt motor and will make more power with a similar setup. Damn I didnt know the late mustangs were that heavy though... lol. No wonder they're slow for having all that power :taun:

Direct injection, oil squirters, and infinitely adjustable camshaft phasing via the pcm. But mostly, direct injection and the oil squirters. Completely safe (and even conservative) at 12.5:1 AFR undead heavy boost, and combustion temps are relatively low compared to a port injection motor due to the DI and the extra cooling from the oil squirters. More boost, no knock. :goodjob:

Yea, I keep forgetting that that motor is DI. The 4G63 in the Evo has oil squirters ;)
