Heres the deal I swaped this motor in about 4 weeks ago (d16Z6) and I keep geting a CEL 22.
The thing is, If I leave from a light and run it all the to redline. No CEL but if I'm on the highway and downshift and run up the rpms I get the CEL. at about 4500 or so. Its like if I keep it at high (http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread/2262080#) RPMs for a long time it throws the CEL and Vtec drops off.I'm running a chipped ECU with chrome, 4500 RPM crossover (http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread/2262080#), no rev limiter and 5000 RPM launch control. Ebay OBD1 conversion harries(lots of good reviews and no problems from other people with them. Looks as good or better that more expensive ones).

I've replaces the entire Vtec silinoid unit including the switch and gasket. My screen filter was clogged pretty good. I thought that was it because we took it for a ride and no CEL at all. Last night on the highway it came back. Wiring (http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread/2262080#) is good. Oil pressure is there but I cant hook up my oil pressure gauge up until I get a sandwich plate.

I replaces timing belt (http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread/2262080#), water pump, oil pump (http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread/2262080#), did a full tune up, filter and oil. Before I installed the motor. Running 10w30 full senthtic motor oil.

any Ideas what I can check or fix. Its getting really annoying. Thanks

Also I may try to barrow a stock ECU to see if that could be it. Don't think thats it.

Replaced the pressure switch, vtec wiring and ECU and still have the same problem.

I installed a oil pressure gauge today and at cold idle it sits at 50psi at warn idle it sits at 25psi and while driving at 3000rpm it sits at 35-37 psi. If I take it up to redline the oil pressure stays at 35-37.
This doesn't seem right to me.

I replaced the oil pump and installed a used d16A6 oil pan(Z6 one had a huge dent in the front of it) before the install. The weird thing is I bypassed the pressure switch and I still get the code 22???

I'm out of easy fixes and I just want some advise before I replace the pump, oil pickup and possible put the z6 oil pan back on.

Please help me

Thanks
