Ok so this is what im thinkin bout gettin but idk for sure if this is what it is for .....

The clear coating that they put on hoods of cars....
I've seen this on a couple of expensive cars like M3's and what not....so
Is this to stop chip and scratches preventing ?????????
If so....
Where ?
How much ?
And can they do it to any car ?

i have a buddy who had his bumper and the front half or his hood done. the protected part looked really nice. but there is a line all the way across where the protectant stopped and its ... well, you can tell a dramatic difference.

It runs around a few hundred dollars depending on the car (it's usually cut for your car). As for install facility's google is your friend.

are you talking about clear bra? if yeah, then it runs about 250-500 depending on the kit and your car for the front bumper, headlights, fenders, and hood. it's not too noticeable from a distance, but from about 5 feet you can see where the film ends. and yeah it's for preventing chips and scratches to your paint.

Lamin-X or something similiar. Most reputable body shops can order and install for you.

are you thinking of rockblocker? The clear plastic shield. I've seen one on an srt8 charger and it wasnt noticable until you got right up on it.

I mean since ill be on the road a lot this summer i wanna protect my hood and front bumper from all those MINOR scratches and ****....
