I've noticed recently that in tuner circles, the word "clean" has been thrown around much more liberally than in years past. It has gotten to the point where the word (which was once used to describe a car that was aesthetically pleasing inside and out while not too overdone) is now watered down..

What do you guys think...discuss.

For me just something simple that works. No huge wings, body kits, wheels. Fuction or looks

Agreed

I am worried, however, that the term is going the same direction as "JDM." I think all of the JDM Nazis got everyone so on edge about falsely identifying a car as JDM (Heaven Forbid :gay:), that people often use "clean" instead.

lol, who cares. they're words that describe trends, and trends change. it's bound to happen.

I guess if you describe a trend as something that's been around for 50+ years. Haha I've heard clean used to describe everything from classic muscle to imports. Of course, however, import drivers think they invented the trend and thus will be the ones to bastardize it. The first time I saw neon lights under a car was on old hotrods at the big Daytona Beach show...and look what happened to that.

never said the term "clean" was a trend. body kits and civics on 18" rims where considered "clean" at one point or another. nothing to get worked up about, lol.
