Im puting an itr intake manifold and itr throttle body on my b16. The car is a 99 civic si. I just bought new pcv valve, intake mani gasket, t/b gasket, and type r throttle cable bracket. The question is, do i need a type r throttle cable for proper fitment? One more question... I sand blasted the itr intake mani and itr t/b and put a clear coat on, will the clear coat turn brown or something? lmk.

The ITR throttle cable should longer because it pulls from the opposite side, i'd suggest getting one. Get a Hondata intake manifold gasket, will benefit you as much or more than a cold-air intake.

Haha. yeah i clear coated aluminum, kinda dumb. huh? lol. It's got the bling shine now. haha. Im gonna invest in a hondata intake manifold gasket(i guess i'll toss the one i bought at auto zone). I guess the itr throttle cable is a must.
Thanks for the info bro.

I'm sayin' we need to polish a few of my things up in that sand blaster one day soon... Cause that **** turned out real nice, hopefully it doesn't turn yellowish gold off the heat from the block...:bump:

True dat. Bead blasting doesnt polish.lol. It made a used 98 itr intake mani and itr t/b look brand new, so im happy. I'll post a pic later on just for shit's and giggles.

I have a buddy who ran an itr mani w/ itr tb and he did not have to replace the throttle cable. You just might have some excess cable in the engine bay, but it works.
