So it was a boring weekend and we had nothing to do. My bf decided to install his ITR cams. He purchased these from Mike@batlground engineering, thanks mike!
Anyways, it took him and his buddy about 2 hours to get everything done including the valve adjustment.

Here are the pics....

first they took off the valve cover....

putting it back together

everything lined up exactly how he left it. You can see honda bond on the cam seals and that the cam gears line up with the 2 lines going horizontally.

everything torqued down to specs.

yes there is a huge noticable difference. The power band is alot smoother now and vtec pulls alot harder. My bf is still waiting on his manifold so he can go get it tuned.

how can you tell? he's using castro syntec blend right now, not sure if he wants to switch to full synthetic.

He just rebuilt the motor not too long ago.

He just rebuilt the motor not too long ago.The inside is stained like it's been run on conventional oil for a long time, no big deal and not like anyone else is gonna see it

...but yeah always run a conventional oil with a brand new build or rebuild for 500+ miles before switching to synthetic. :goodjob:
