I'd been toying with an idea in my head about a large citywide scavenger hunt for a good minute, but never came to a conclusion on how I should put it into action (until now). I think it should be a battle between the different Squads and Teams on IA. Each group would have a rep. The reps job would be to meet up with the other reps, come up with the list for the scavenger hunt, help get a BBQ together (prepare, cook, etc), and would be a judge at the end of the scavenger hunt. It seems like it could be a fun interactive meet that brings everyone together.

To make the scavenger hunt fair, we can limit the teams to at most 5 cars (with the rest of the team chilling at the BBQ site). Also, the stuff the teams would have to collect (or do) would be free, safe, and legal. I'm also thinking about a buy in of $2-$5 per head. This would be used to cover food (and wont break your bank).

If you have any ideas or input (like good dates and locations for the BBQ) post up. (And EF squad, don't whore this thread up because I'm linking to the other teams).

About 5 years ago, a buddy of mine (we both headed a car club) and I had everything already mapped out for an Atlanta-wide hunt. It was to be completely involving everything inside of 285. There are too many details to post here. Maybe we could chat about it here soon. Later, QD.

I believe the biggest issue is the date. So well is good for everyone? I say sometime in May so people can prepare and take off work if they need to.

Since only 5 cars per team will be participating, you dont have to drive. Plus, I can find 5 faster cars to represent the EF Squad anyways :D

We did one with WRXatl a couple years ago and had a lot of success. I think we had around 15-20 teams. We organized another one two months ago and had very little interest, we also had the aim of getting our scavenger hunt together with other local clubs such as the Vette club and S2K clubs.

One rule you should implement is have the driver seal his license in an envelope signed by the planners. If the envelope is torn when the team returns they're disqualified. Granted people will speed and do stupid stuff but those who get caught are out and it does work to discourage people from driving irresponsibly.

GTScoob, thats an excellent idea. We definatly need a way to keep drivers from being stupid, and that sounds like a good plan.
