SO I SOLD MY 2002, TOOK A 500$ DEPOSIT ON THE CAR. GUY DROVE FROM SAVANNAH TO COME PICK IT UP. A REVERSE WENT IN ON THE DEPOSIT A WEEK LATER AND NOW MY ACCOUNT IS 500$ IN THE NEGATIVE. THEY WON'T CLEAR MY ACCOUNT AND I'M NOT PROTECTED B/C I CAN'T SHOW IT WAS SHIPPED + RECIEVED :2up:

anyone know of any other recourse if i can't get this straightened out. like calling the dmv or police and filing a report b/c basically the reversal is almost like writting a bounced check and taking the item....?

you have to call paypal. Tell them whats going on, and talk to someone who knows wtf they are talking about. dont talk to the first dumb blonde that gets on the phone, unless she knows whats up.

they want s/h receipts ... i was like HELLO it was picked up it was a local sale... i've talked to 3 different people there and they are no help they are like the buyer needs to send you 500$ to clear up your account.

thats called the PAYPAL scam, without tracking paypal takes the other guys side.

What you have to do is contact paypal, and fax them like a copy of the bill of sale , DMV records ,etc

what he did was pay Paul for an item, then he PICKED THE ITEM Up.

He then disputed it with paypal saying he never RECEIVED THE ITEM.

Paypal bases its entire security system on SHIPPING with TRACKING INFO

mine was $400, and that was like 2 years ago....and I have sent all documentation of shipping, tracking numbers and such, but they must be run by retarded monkeys because they don't see where I shipped the item.

i have atleast 4x basically they told me they can't help me unless he admits he has the car or i can show proof of that... only thing i can think of is call the DMV and see if they can get me something stating that the vehicle title is under a new name now.

basically, your'e going to have to drive to his house and tell him he f'd up. better yet, i'd file a lawsuit against him. i believe $500 is a felony. if you have his name, address, Bill of sales, etc, than you should have more than what you need.

yea, this is why i never do over $200 on paypal

unless i have a good tracking number and i always make them sign the package when it's delivered

even if you get the money back from paypal, it's not worth the time/hassle
