Most black people I know don't smoke menthols (or really cigs of the legal kind). Most of my white friends smoke menthols tho. But you are pretty right on the newports.

It's cultural. The potency angle no longer applies. Black people who smoke or just people in general who smoke, will smoke almost anything to get the nicotine rush. I've never smoked, but when smokers are in a social setting, they tend to smoke brand name cigs ei. Newports, Malboro's, Camels, but when they're solo or with someone who doesn't smoke, you'll see them pull out generic brands. I saw this in Iraq a lot.

i mostly use newports, cause theyre the strongest menthol. the strongest ive ever smoked(not menthol) is lucky strike-also possibly one of the most expensive packs i ever buy at like $5.16/pack. among others, smooths, camel frosts, and marlboro menthols are good.

only poor people get the doral/bronson ****. ive never tried those. ive always been too scared by the dirt cheap price to try them. and the people that buy them usually get 100s cause you get more for the same price. theyre really poor.
