Actually, those engines was built by Ford, but designed by Mazda and Cosworth. In stock form, they hold 13 lbs of boost. Cosworth makes all motor parts which gets over 200whp. Those motors (2.0L & 2.3L) is by no means crap.

It gave more ppl an opportunity to drill a hole in the muffler or put stickers on the window (which add some serious horsepower!!!) and go around revving up at ppl cause they think they are cool. :gay: But that also comes with age. Don't get me wrong, I have a honda, I am NOT gonna go around and rev up at ppl so I can try to get attention. Yes depending on what you do to them, they can compete with some other cars (all cars can when you put money in them) And stock... well I guess MPG is going for them. but they are by NO means the best car out there. I love imports, but I get sick and tired of ppl like me that get a bad name because of ppl like you. They look at a car and instantly think "ricer" just because of all the punks that drive around trying to burn out in parking lots or drift (a cavalier at a parking deck remind ya of anything?). Don't put down other makes/models just because you own a certain one. If you love cars you will respect all of them when they have something different done to them (done right), even if it's not your taste.

Exactly. That's why you never see only one kind of car at a car show. I don't know if you can believe it or not, but at car shows, Ford lovers and Chevy lovers enjoy seeing what each other has done to their car. Heck, old ppl that are die hard chevy lovers even enjoy seeing imports that are done right. It's a hobby, if you keep an open mind, you learn more. Therefore, more ideas for your car.
