this one guy got some aftermarket p72 pistons, made by top line?? or something but he couldn't tell me if it OEM or AFTERmarket or is it all the same. ..

and is all pistons including oem/aftermarket pistons FORGED???? to withstand heat... to a certain degree??

or is it just for aftermarket app

becuz i'm debating on picking them up . but would it be a good choice for using it for boost???

well in my scenario you got what are called hyper-U which are essentially OEM but not provided by mitsubishi, and then you got the forged by wiseco

for boost application you want forged.

when i found out my b16a was blown i happened to be up at mainstream getting exhaust put on my hatch. mike told me if i was gonna rebuild my b16a to go get these pistons. here is a pic if it sheds any light on the situation. i assumed the where aftermarket oem replacements

there are both aftermarket oem copies, meaning they are cast copies of cast pistons, ive seen alot of pr3 piston sets made by npr. there are also aftermarket high HP forged pistons made also but they are not oem copies, the ringlands, height, and valve reliefs are often different to change strength or change compression
