"John Coleman, who founded the [Weather Channel]cable network in 1982, suggests suing for fraud proponents of global warming, including Al Gore, and companies that sell carbon credits.

"Is he committing financial fraud? That is the question," Coleman said.

"Since we can't get a debate, I thought perhaps if we had a legal challenge and went into a court of law, where it was our scientists and their scientists, and all the legal proceedings with the discovery and all their documents from both sides and scientific testimony from both sides, we could finally get a good solid debate on the issue," Coleman said. "I'm confident that the advocates of 'no significant effect from carbon dioxide' would win the case.""

hrmmmm proponents, global warming is definitely coming at this rate. There are actually facts that polar caps are melting, and etc. IE: the weather has been WACK these pass months and especially this week. And i have developed allergies! hmph! and no financial frauds, unless he's getting some dough out of it lol. i am, in fact, worried about global warming. i like to be in the sun and dont fry up. maybe Coleman will win.. i wanna see the outcome lol

There are actually facts that polar caps are melting, and etc. That's because we're constantly getting closer to the sun and entering a new solar cycle. Global warming is a myth and scare tactic.

how do u know we're heading towards the sun? < i havent heard about that yet. do enlighten meIt's gravity man. The Sun is constantly growing and/or pulling us closer. It's what keeps us spinning around along with our moon. Now if we were to stop cycling around the sun, we'd be sucked in a lot faster.

A new calculation predicts that Earth will be swallowed up by the sun in 7.6 billion years, capping off a longstanding debate over whether the sun's gravitational pull will have weakened enough for Earth to escape final destruction or not.

Other theorists have predicted that our planet will fry as the sun expands in its old age. But the time estimates have varied by a couple billion years.

"Although people have looked at these problems before, we would claim this is the best attempt that's been made to date, and probably the most reliable," said astronomer Robert Smith, emeritus reader at the U.K.'s University of Sussex, who made the new calculations with astronomer Klaus-Peter Schroeder of the University of Guanajuato in Mexico. "What we've done is to refine existing models and to put the best calculations we can at each point in the model."

I laugh @ the whole Global Warming thing...seriously, 20 years ago scientists said that the sun was cooling off and we were going to go into another ICE AGE...FYI THE SUN HEATS UP AND COOLS OFF! Right now its actually cooling off(do your research). This happens all the time!

I don't think that were helping the issue with all the pollutants were putting into the air and what not. And I'm sure things will get bad in generations to come unless we do something. But I really don't think that WE are whats melting the damn Ice Caps. They've done it in the past and they'll freeze up again, and melt again. It's a cycle.

I hope they revoke his noble prize to be honest.

lol that was simple. =DNo worries. Johnny was right too. I forgot that the sun was expanding. Still, with a few billion years until D-Day, I think we got time to figure things out.

I had such high hopes for that movie too. :(

I thought it was gonna be really good as well but being "moderate" it just seemed so left sided(which is Hollywood so what do you expect?) to the point where it was sketchy..that and the acting wasn't all that great lol

Global Warming is complete bs. Like others have said in here the earth goes through cooling and heating periods and did so in the middle ages as well.

Weather is short term, Climate is long term. Do your research. Global warming is a bunch of BS. Listen to Neal Boortz and be enlightened.

I thought this was common knowledge by now?

Im sure it is, however the way I read his post he was equating the movement of DST with nature, instead of the govt moving it to conserve energy.
