So I want to invest <$60k in a business... i know its not much to start/buy a business but thats all I have been given the opportunity to risk... I have been doing some research and I have a couple things in mind. Aside from that I just wanted to post this up to get an impression of what maybe some of you guys would do with that money.. Please leave out all counteractive comments =)

I really have no idea what I would do, probably just save it.

Come up with an idea first. Research it to make sure it will work. Go into a joint venture through private shareholders as an llc or just borrow the money you need.

I would invest 40k of it and use the other 20k as start up money for your business.

Since the economy is tanking, I would get into section 8 housing. Just make sure to remodel the interior a little bit so that u can add another room or two.

how are you 21 and have anything near 60k to invest? i know there are loans and whatnot, but what else? did you inherit something?

It is money that has been entrusted to him. Probably by a family member. I'm up for it if you need some help in the future Aneel.

i would invest it intoo a roth IRA, by the time you retire you will be a millionare

thanks aaron.. yes it is money that i have been entrusted with from my dad.. a little less then $10k is mine..
