First DTM test of 2008 is completed
The first Deutsche Torenwagen Masters test of 2008 is complete. The test was held at Mugello in Italy and saw the first coming together of Audi and Mercedes this year. Markus Winkelhock put the fastest lap of all drivers during the three days of testing.

The German Audi-driver was followed by the two Mercedes-drivers of Jamie Green and Paul Di Resta. Their best times were 0.166 and 0.854 seconds behind respectively.
Reigning champion Mattias Ekström topped the first part of the final day and set a time that put him sixth quickest overall, right behind Alexandre Premat and Gary Paffett.
Previous Formula One-driver Ralf Schumacher was seventh fastest in his 2007 specification Mercedes C-Class with the time 1:43.506.
Next official test session takes place at Oschersleben on April the 6th.
