new ps3 firmware update 2.17 just came out

i knew an update with alot of new convenient/cool stuff was coming out sometime soon but i dont know if this is it, it just kinda came out of no where. there nothing about it on the internet except for a forum that has a topic from yesturday about it coming out today, and it didnt have any info and no one believed the guy. but its out just thought i would tell everyone, of all the updates ive done this one is taking the longest, ill post what it is when its done.

nothing i heard about being on the next update was on this update, probably why it was a update to 2.17, dont they usually go like 1.90 to 2.00 to 2.10 to 2.20 or something? i dont know i didnt see anything different. but other than that anyone know when ps3 home is coming out yet?
