Sitting at a red light the other day...an 01 model or so mustang gt revs at me with his gf in the passener seat. I guess hes trying to show off his gt in front of my slow hatch or something. So I just smile at him. Anyway light turns green I dump it and he guns it..his gt ends up being auto, but I pulled on him hardcore up to about 60 when I let off because speed limit was 45...my car has LS swap with msd ignition, stage 3 clutch and skunk 2 cam gears, catback and a header...discuss...if you want

how much power are you making? stock gts are slow, automatics are slower
i would figure he would have beat you though

Are you sure it was a GT? GT stangs arn't slow even if Auto.

yes I'm sure it was a gt had all the emblems duel exhaust and I know the difference in the sound between a v6 and v8 I have a bunch of friends with mustangs and v6s don't sound nearly as mean no matter what you do even if you just remove the exhaust

seems about right to me....
when i had my LS hatch, i ran a stock GT @ commerce we both ran a 15.2, but if we did a highway run lets say "40-120" im pretty sure he'd get me cuz of the overall power, my hatch only had a B16 tranny and I/H/E as mods...

Was it convertible? I know someone with that setup with a convertible and I swear my 4.3 Blazer with bolt ons could take him. lol. Either way, Even he said auto was slower then manual in those cars. So maybe, either way nice win. Busted him in front of his girl LOL.

That's the only reason I raced him in the hopes of doing just that. lol well thanks for the feedback everyone :goodjob:

My old 99gt auto with intake, and mufflers ran 9.0's on the 1/8th...what does your run?

I destroyed a 2005 or 2006 5 speed GT the day I got my car. We went from a dig at a light to about 60 (in a 55. :))...and I pulled like a car and a half. It was nuts. So yeah, that sounds about right.

no idea...I haven't gone to the track...why would I all I have is a stock with bolt ons LS in an EK...not too crazy. not too crazy at all

there are so many mustangs out there you can run into a wide variety. I'm not a big fan of them myself but will admit the gt's have one of the best sounding exhausts

when i was reading i thought you miss saw the mustang and it was really a cobra. my friend has a black cobra on 03/04 cobra wheels around here and he revs at people alot. its anoyying.

It was dark green...no way it was a cobra cobra would have waxed that ass :goodjob:
