I don't think many people have had luck boosting a base Cooper. The internals are just not that strong. The internals on an S are completely different. It would cost you more to get good power out of a Cooper than it would to buy an S. I don't keep up with Cooper stuff that much but I had two S's so I know a lot more about them. Go to NAM and do some searching, the question has been asked many times.

yeah I know that the s and the non s have way different internals. And no one wants to even try anything with the non s

I only plan on running 6 psi or lower with an intercooler.

Seriously, go read up on NAM. Plenty of people have tried all kinds of things with non-S Coopers. The only person I personally know who tried it ended up with a LOT of repairs and an NA car after all was said and done. I'm really not sure if anyone has had any luck since then but if so, someone on NAM would know all about it.

yeah i dont spend as much time on NAM as i should...but i do know that im never going to Mini2 again ha. Im just going to toy with it until I get it right. Money doesnt matter much to me when it comes to spending it on a car.

A honda would have been so much easier...
