It seems that lately, Jeremy Clarkson just can't catch a break. Like some other Englishmen we can think of, Clarkson has never had a problem being brutally honest, despite the fact that his viewpoints get him into trouble every now and again... and again. This time, Clarkson was allegedly photographed talking on a cell phone while driving. While some of the more car-consicous among us may be more interested in the classic Mercedes Benz that he was piloting, talking on a mobile phone while driving is illegal in the U.K., and apparently the offense is taken rather seriously. Clarkson is currently being chided for thinking that he is "above the law".

We can't help but wonder if this is being made into a much bigger deal than it normally would because of Clarkson's fame. The fact that his stardom revolves around automobiles and driving doesn't do him any favors in this particular situation either.

Let's be real, what if that's a real important phone call.....His kids are hurt or something......I swear, the more i read about it, England lacks any common sense and the one bit of fresh air they have (Clarkson), they bash on him like he killed somebody for using a phone. I hope nothing comes of this for him.

Its not like he cant drive or anything. The man makes his living driving cars very fast and controlled. Im pretty sure he can handle talking on a phone while daily driving. They're just making a big deal because he's a celeb like others have said.

Yeah but like someone said above, you know tons of people probably break that law daily. But because he's a celeb the media's acting like he killed someone or had a wreck while talking on the phone when he was just talking. No speeding, wrecks, etc.

have you ever been to England? lived their for a period of time? if not please dont have such a close minded view, being that i was born there and my entire family lives there. people there still live a very simple life, most people still dont drive, or own 2 story houses.

i'll admit about calling out all of England, i was really going at those in parliament. I'll be honest, with Ken Livingston in office, all people that like cars or motoring are seemingly being considered thugs.

He called Porsches on London roads worse than garbage on the street.

Added to that this "vision zero" sees fit to ban motorcycles all together.

I know we have environmental terrorists burning hummers and peoples houses for no real reason, but it hasn't gotten to that level here yet.

Again, i wasn't calling out every person in England......We have "very simple people" here too. It was those that are doing things that arn't better for the people.
