Just kidding.
The neighbor up the street from us has a dog. The dog roams free about once or twice a week (that I know of) and usually picks a fight with my dog. My dog is always leashed, this dog however is not. The neighbor's dog is also a good 2 or 3 times the size of my toy rat terrier. Don't get me wrong, everytime my dog has kicked it's ass, but that's because we caught on to them fighting a little late.

NO, we don't do dog fighting, we stop it as soon as we see it. Also remember that this dog will run up to us during the daily walks around the neighborhood and start growling.

The neighbors have been warned by my mom that she will call animal control if he's in our yard again, but she now has a full time job and hasn't seen it.

Well tonight I was walking my dog and on the way home, this dog was sitting in the middle of the street. Seemed to have been waiting since he wasn't there when we started to walk. Anyways, the dog starts growling as we walk towards the driveway, which pisses my dog off so he also starts to growl. The dog lunges at us, so I jerk my dog back and lunge at the free dog. This dog has balls and never backs down. After a few attempts of lunging and this dog not budging, he tries to get towards my dog more. I raise my leg to kick him but he won't come any further. I'm fed up by this time and start yelling at this ugly ass dog to go home. I guess I scared the **** out of him, because he takes off up the street.

But the question is, would I get in trouble if the owners saw me kick their dog? Animal abuse is a felony, but wouldn't this just be protecting myself and dog? How about if I punch him in the nose as hard as I can?

I've been in this situation where I choked some1s dog out. I was 19 and home on leave from the Air Force. I was walking through the neighborhood w/ my younger brother. I saw the dog growling, and I took my jacket off and wrapped it around my right forearm just in case he wanted some... AND HE DID (after my brother took off running). I told my brother "he ain't gonan do sh*t". I was really just trying to show off and be the big brother b/c my brother said "I wouldn't have thought to wrap my arm like that." Well, as we got closer the dog got bold... my brother turned and started running away, but the dog was coming at ME. I stood there scared as sh*t waiting on him... NOT b/c I'm a badas$ but bc I don't think I could have ran b/c it was happening too fast. LOL. When the dog got me I kinda "gave" him my wrapped arm - he was doing his thing to my jacket and tryna eat my elbow -- then I got around his neck some kinda way and literally choked him out in a 1/2 Nelson funky a$$ grip that I can barely remember. I haven't been that scared in a long time. I think I can remember screaming the ENTIRE time in a high pitched voice like a lil b*tch, even though I was winning... I just think that I was pumped and scared. LOL. The dog was a lab mixed mutt and something about not having oxygen calmed his a$$ down. HA HA. But my mom called me a few days later and said that people in the neighborhood were asking who choked the neighbors dog - the owners were insisting that we riled the dog up and "that dog doesn't bite people." I love it when dog owners say that sh*t - I wanna say, "no F*CKER he doesn't bite YOU!!!"

if your county has a leash law and an unleashed dog attacks you, i'm pretty sure you can kill it on the spot. not saying you should, but call animal control anyways. a trip to the pound is probably enough to get the owners to leash the dog.

You won't get in trouble if you harm the dog as a last resort. If you've tried yelling/lunging/walking away/etc. and he still tries to bite you or the dog, then im pretty sure you can defend yourself. However, if the dog just growls and you kick him in the face, then I think you could get in trouble.

No, you should kill it. Any dog like that needs to be dealt with. I was walking my rottweiler the other day, and my neighbors starved, half pitbull mutt started jumping on her [ she's REALLY old with bad hips and stuff, no chance in hell she could fight back]. What did I do? Shot the motherfvcker where it stood, then carried it to their house after bringing my dog home and told them. They were pissed, but nothing can be done about it.

Well I just came home to an open back door and no dog. I guess my dad accidentally left the door ajar. Anyways, I hop into the eclipse to go find him and where is he at? my neighbors house... the neighbor that has the mean ass dog. I pull up and they're in the front yard, my dog is smelling the other dog and the other dog is laying down.

I thought this was weird, but I called for my dog as I walked towards them. As soon as I did that, the other dog got up and my dog started to attack him. lmao. As my dog is trying to bite his neck, this dog is running towards his house. They stop about 3 times during this just long enough for my dog to bite him, but keep going. We finally get close and the neighbors are getting out of their car. He apologizes and says he'll put the dog up.

As I'm walking down to my car, I see them walk around, but as I go up the hill to turn around they just go inside and leave the dog outside. oh well, he got his ass tore up. lol.

Buy some pepper spray and go crazy. It will only take one time and the dog will know not to mess with you. Its not going to hurt him...for long.

if you kick their dog and they see, they could call the cops on you with some bull**** "he did it for no reason" story, cause they sound like assholes. If i were you i'd beat them to it and call animal control or the cops on them, and accuse them of raising the dog to fight, animal cruelty, violating leash laws, siccing their dog on yours, whatever you can think of.

ok... you are going to need a crossbow, or a small caliber pistol with a barrel suppressor and then you can take the little bastard out without anyone knowing...
