Yes i know they come stock with turbos but i plan on getting this car from a nice lady, (its in basically MINT condition with under 100000 miles on it) and i know it hasn't been driven hard.
the bad thing is....no turbo:no:
could i just throw on the 16g turbo or would i have to do a lot of work for full potential out of it? or would it be cheaper to jsut buy a stock gst and build that up?
any advice would be appreciated:goodjob:

Your car has a NON turbo 4g63. So basically you could get all the turbo equipment off of a factory turbo car and be set. The only problem you're going to have, is you won't be able to get as boost happy as us factory turbo guys due to a smaller cam and higher CR.

Exactly....it would be way cheaper to get a GS-T or Talon TSI. Have you looked into talons, they are the same thing. Oh and I prefer 1Gs than 2Gs. You cannot just throw a 16G and be set. They have totally different compression ratios, engines, even dipsticks...lol. But the 4G63T motors are known for their ability to withstand boost and HP levels.

Very easy to boost a NA, but you can only run low boost due to the rings on NA pistons cannot with stand too much pressure. But You can run low boost. The Head from a NA and turbo are the same, except for the cams. Also the main difference between the block is that the turbo engine has low compression pistons, stronger pistons rings, oil squarters, and a knock sensor. If you can get a turbo engine then buy that and swap over the engine. Or just get all the parts to boost the NA engine. If you have any questions about doing this send me a PM. Or you can take the NA block build it, add oil squarters, stock or Wiseco pistons, knock sensor and so on. I can get this done for you. Or guide you through boosting the NA
