my car now wont go into 3rd or 4th even when manually putting it into 3rd
torque converter slips at times and im pretty much stuck in 1st and 2nd

some threads for my car say a revolution sensor on the tranny could be bad which i am hoping could just be the issue

if it isnt and tranny is done.........5 speed swap will be going down in the J30!
It most likely isnt the transmission itself if multiple gears are going out at the same time.

It most likely isnt the transmission itself if multiple gears are going out at the same time.

ive never had a transmission go on me before but it was working perfectly in 3rd and 4th last night. it seems more like a sensor issue because it used to hunt for which gear to finally be in.

working on going to junk yard of a friends to grab a revolution sensor off of a q45 and replace it tonight to see what happens.

It might be that. My friend had an issue with the transmission oil pump losing pressure which caused it to do the same thing recently. The ECU will make it work harder to increase pressure and it throws everything off. I am not really familiar with auto trannys but that could be the issue.

yah i have to keep it in 2 now so it doesnt try to shit into 3rd and free rev to redline. cruising 50 at about 4k lol

yah im gonna hook laptop up when i get back and see if it has a new code. i know i got a cel for egr malfunction (working on getting fixed ecu for this).
