Having trouble downloading with Vista

so, yeah, as the title says, im having trouble down loading with vista. I try to down load something from my email and it takes FOREVER. I know this is not supposed to be like this cuz when i go to my old laptop and down load something with the operating system being XP it downloads right then and there. does anyone know why this could be? like settings or soemthing

i have no problem with vista. urs shouldnt do that if it is new.

lol well it does...like all im doing is downloading an image from my email and it does one of those things that a damn 56k would do. doesnt make any sense
