1. You can make it fast, its been done, like Bucky said no reason a turbo wont fit.Slow... all things are relative.

What do you expect from a 250cc with 70mpg.

2. Soccer is a ball game. Not relavent to the topic because Soccer can be played anywhere. Not all scooters are legal on all American roads.

+ Safety to ride something with a top speed of 65 on a freeway isn't a good idea. Most americans are scared of bikes and a scooter is no safer to most of them.

3. They did asymmetrical exhaust because everyone else had theirs symmetrical. Lots of bikes have different exhaust exits. Look at Yamaha 2 stroke RD500, it had to have asymmetrical exhaust cause you cant shove four pipes to look right on one side.

I think it looks good....I really do.

First of all ill just tell you i really dislike the zx14 and hayabusa. There are those that really like fatty bikes but im not one of them. I'd rather have a 250 that i can learn to knee drag on than a 9 sec street bike. That goes for bikes with extended swing arms too. Just not my thing.

Now scooters i've always liked cause they can be setup to ride in the mountains and are a very good start of performance riding for a lot of people cause you can learn to hold your body right before getting the speed element. This is obvioulsy best with a 250cc or less machine cause the Yamaha Majesty i posted is setup for show and is a bit heavy to start on. It can be done though.

Am i high.....no im open minded and have my own way of thinking.

It actually a popular thing to do in Japan. Kinda the way Lowriders and Mini Trucks are over here. A real show element is part of it.

It's not for everybody.

Again i put the Busa part in the thread name to get views. I hate it when people compare a Motorcycle to a Scooter. They are different.

This "style" of tuning branches out to the very big market of scooters in Japan and even over hear. I know alot of people that have a Honda Reflex that would definitely buy this stuff to make theirs stand out.

Of course it has a purpose, their is a market for scooters, why not give those people accessories for them? Seriously?

They are more friendly for every day purposes. You and Matthew need to understand that vehicles do more than just race around a track. The larger ones feel more stable, Will have more power and torque, and have room for quiet a bit of luggage.

You can hid your helmet in a compartment on some of these. - Not in a rear baggage box but a compartment that looks like it's part of the fairing.

Go ride a "big scooter" then give me your new opinion.

Almost forgot..... Automatic transmissions too.

Really, just like for everyday cars, the aftermarket will provide parts for whatever reason, the tuner market is the same for big and small scooters.

Take a Honda odyssey for example over here. Boring Soccer mobile.

But in Japan where the price to own and operate a vehicle is much higher (hence why scooters are popular) people have created some neat stuff with their daily transportation.

1..... Busa can handle just fine? I disagree, im not saying your friend doesn't have the talent to take it through the turns just fine, but i am saying there are a lot more bicks id take over a Busa. Personally i like 600s over anything else.
