Simon has a red Miata... All we need is some wrenches, gas money and a flashlight and we have all the parts you need.

I have cordless impacts, portable flood lights and a 525 gallon fuel tank here. With a few of the right people I think we could disassemble his entire car and have it in the bed of my pick up in less than an hour. :)

I have found a few parts that I need but still looking for more plus some mods and a turbo kit. I have seen several surfing but man they all say different crap for the lil 1.6's.

PM metalman on here and just tell him what parts you're looking for. He's got a basement/garage full of nothing but Miata parts. I used to get a lot of stuff from him, very honest guy. Not a very far drive from Athens either.

How much you want for the visors and what color are they? And what about the engine you have? Wanna sell it? I need one to put some forged internals in. :???:

if the funds are there for that why not swap the 1.8 in it and build that?? you can even stroke that out to a 2.0. for a small fee of 4g's(not tryin to deter him from buyin your motor tommy just saying if theres that kind of money available he can get a bigger one for not much more prob.)

make your own intake manifold. it wouldnt be that hard if your going carb'd cuz then you dont have to worry bout the fuel injectors. also check other mazdas/fords and possibly for trucks that may have been carb'd.

yesth i shifted from 2nd to 5th and then quit as soon as i let the clutch go a realized what i had done. that plus i bogged off the line, didnt launch it high enough

if that happens we need to leave to prepare to be there when they open that way you can get through tech and and actually go down the track a couple times if you so desired

I have never driven a miata...but how the hell did you shift from 2nd to 5th?

well first of all if you try shifting from 2nd to 3rd too fast then youll grind 3rd and miss it because the transmission doesnt like to be shifted fast. and also the shifter is kinda tight from factory so go over just a little too far and it will slip right into 5th.

Gay! Just excuses. I shift from 2nd to fifth all the time when racing my jdm lawn mower and It never boggs down it just goes faster. The point is learn how to shift your car, and ps if you are running 18's on the dragstrip something is wrong and you should never take your car there again.:rolleyes:
