Dont imagine you'd need to turn 8500 with the stroke of a 427 ls, pisotn speed would be through the roof, but with a lightweight recip assy, its managable for a track car.

I would imagine that they would move the wrist pin in the piston or something IF it was really that big of a problem. 1500rpm over stock doesnt seem too bad though. That guy has some serious money though.
