has anyone ever done this mod to their OEM honda/acura tophats and does anyone have a very indepth writeup as to how to do this or can anyone around atlanta do this for me? ill provide both all 4 tophats and money for labor.

theres a write up on honda-tech but my acct over there is Fd and they wont send me my password....look it up and paste it.....ill be doing mine shortly and will do others........already got the xtra hats just need to get the write up......

i hated the lifted hood look but im considering it bcuz of the extened hats....:thinking:

i can see it now, folks are going to wind up putting struts through their hoods.
why not save yourself the time/grief/expense of a new hood and just buy a pair from GC for 120$?

Iv seen mushroom-toy do this- looked pretty cool- deffently worth it if u know exactly what ur doing- best luck to u bro!

because ive heard that the GC tophats can only be used with ground control coilovers.. which i dont have LoL

negative sir :) They have the 12mm option (koni) as well as the 10mm option (stock). All you have to do is select which size you want, they also have a couple color options i think.

And heres the writeup I went off of kinda, but mostly just for the hardware, although I used different hardware then what it says. I got everything I needed at Lowes. Its not very hard to do at all.

Umm why do you need a welder? You pay for hardware and me and a buddy will do it for $100. XD
