well, it wont give you the Directv channels, but you can point your directv sat to DishNetwork and get their channels...

You dont have to... you can do Autoroll... or update the bin files...

You can get whatever channels that your sat bring thru... it is capeable of getting all channels, just gotta make sure that you have the right sats pointing at the right sat... and if you want the HD Channels, youll need the DishNetwork 1000.2 Sat pointing at 110 and 119... and a HD Box... like Coolsat 8100HD which is retailing $400 to $450...

You dont have to have Dish Network but need their signal, you can get any of their sats, just need to be pointing at 110 & 119 to get their channels... no monthly fees needed... you can pick up the sats up for about $50 to $60 and have all the American channels...

1. I pay for dish network now. Would this allow me to see ALL the channels w/o having to pay for them?

2. I already have an HD receiver. Does this work with it? Will I be able to see HD channels just like I see them now on my HD tv?

3. If this is what I think it is, when they zap you, how do you get the new codes to get back up and running?

2.They have many model.. I don't know about this one but other model does
3.Yes they will "zap" sooner or later but usually they will have a new file up to DL so you can upload to your receiver. I'm not even trying to sell this but I'm sure giving out alot of info! :ninja: The fed might get ME!

If you want a HD reciever, expect to spend $500+ to get a decent one. The COOLSAT 6000 cannot receive HD channels, but is easy to use. Just plug and play.

I don't think they can just buy any cable to upload the BINS. Im not sure what cable the COOLSAT uses, but some recievers use STRAIGHT CABLE & NULL CABLES. Just helping you out!:cheers:

Cable lines will not work. You have to use a DISH to get the channels. I found a DISH that was laying around the yard and just pointed to the right location to get channels.

i have brand new DTV revivers i have a few of all of the latest revievers, i even have some HD DVRs, i was a install tec, and i got stuck wit thease. i have over 4g in revivers that dtv back charged me over a year ago and im still stuck wit em. dont know if this will help along side of this system as to maby linking it up to use the hddvr idk but if anyone needs one pm me... sorry not tryin to jack ur thred.

i thought u needed a dp500 dish for it to work. the twin lmb's. these are great i havent paid a satelite bill in over a year i get all the pay-per-views, porns hbo's etc....
