I have this wireless set up (for about 2 weeks) and the damn cursor, ever since I got this, will, out of the blue, shoot off over to the top corner of the damn screen. Then it takes a second or two or moving the mouse around before I can regain control of the cursor. Can anyone help me out? Can a mouse be configured or something to make it stop doing this? Later, QD.

i would say check your batteries, with my old wireless mouse it would do similar stuff when the batteries were low.

Battery life. Replace the batterys and report back.

like they said, its probably either the batteries OR the placement of the receiver. That'll sometimes do it too.

I'll follow the popular consensus and change the batteries. The receiver is about one and a half feet away from the mouse, lolol. Later, QD.

I am guessing infared. If you have something shiny on your mouse pad that will reflect the beam it will make that ****** go crazy. This is assuming you are using a mouse pad.

I'm not. Just on the desktop. Later, QD.

I have had the same problem and it was because I didn't have a mousepad. The lasers just reflected off of whatever was on the table and went crazy.

Use a mouse pad.

I've had someone put clear tape under my mouse and it screw it up. Just for future reference

^^^ I shall. Also, I forgot that a dialogue box opens up every so often telling me that the batteries in the mouse were low. Lolol. I just didn't know that would cause my cursor to go haywire. Later, QD.

Lolol. Awesome analogy. I just didn't think the cursor would shoot around on a low battery. Thought it would just stall or something. Later, QD.
