turbo build help

first What is a good way to tap the oil pan i thought about just drilling and tapping and then putting jbweld around the outside to keep it from leaking if there is another way let me know i understand where and why to dont just not sure of a good way pics would also help if anybody has any

second i have 2 vacuum line for my blow off valve and 1 on wastegate i need to know how to run the vacuum line for my turbo pic could also help or a diagram

u got the right idea for the pan if it is an aluminum pan, but if it is not drill a whole and put the fitting in and just weld it= no leak for life. u need a THREE way fitting from lowes to run the vacuum line from bov to waste gate to mani.

im selling a tapped gsr oil pan...

what do you mean you need to run a vacuum line to the turbo?

how much for the oil pan and will it fit a b16 also i dont need to run a vacuum line from the turbo i need to run one from the wastegate and 2 from the bov

No weld, and in case down the road you no longer have turbo, you could cap it off using AN cap: http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=RUS%2D661980&N=700+4294924496+115&autoview=sku

It is as good as weld. I'm doing the same way to my car.

Personally, I just dont like the fact of knowing that I have JB Weld holding something together underneath my car. I went ahead and had mine welded on frome both sides. I can still cap it off with an AN fitting later if I need, plus I can sleep easier at night knowing that it's not going anywhere. But....that's just my $0.02

i probally am going to have it welded but i need to know how to do my vacuum lines for my wastegate and b.o.v

i bought a vacuum manifold and ran the lines from there.

i think i have the way to do the vacuum lines but not sure
1 i will have a t fitting right before the trotle body for maximum boost and conect that to the wastegate

2 i will have 2 fittings on my bov and not sure wat to do with these

if any body thinks i am going to f@@@ things up by doing this plz let me know or send give me a better i dea of how to do this all help will be appreciated like i siad this is my first buil and not really sure wat to do

agian thanks for the help with the wastegate i know i have to put a fitting before the throttle body most ppl put it at the turbo housing but i will put mine right before the throtle body so i get maximum bost without any loss of pressure




but now how do i do the bov it has 2 fittings on it

vacuum manifold t's off from the brake booster. thats how i did mine. works :goodjob:

Hook it up anywhere from behind the throttle body. Anywhere where this is vacuum... When you let off the throttle you will get vacuum instead of boost... that vacuum opens the piston in the BOV which gives you the whoosh.
