new look.... sorta....

let me preface by saying i've never been a fan of painting stock wheels... needless to say it's become quite the fad lately... so behind the pics you're about to see... here's the story...

i was browsing the local gto boards and i saw this dude was getting rid of a set of factory gto wheels with decent rubbers on them DIRT FREAKING CHEAP so i call him up and i acquire them. i WAS just gonna take the tires off and put my drag tires on them and use them at the track since they were spray painted black... well after modifying the fenders yesterday, i decided what the hell... lets just test fit them and make sure the wider rubber fits properly before i pay to have them taken off and remounted on MY wheels... well we did it.... lol and they're still on there.

my buddy scott is going to refinish them in a much nicer gloss black for me so it will end up looking much better than it does here... but the black wheels on my color gto really struck my heart in that special place! i think it looks mean as hell!

also got pics of the skinnies on teh front toward the bottom.

word. i wasnt planning on getting new wheels (ie: ccw or the like) until i got the car into the 11's, so this was a good move :D i got all 4 wheels AND tires for $150, so i simply couldnt pass it up! not to mention i just had my fenders shaved and refinished so that i can now fit a decent sized rear tire on it. now she's sittin on 275's with absolutly NO scrubbing... even lowered.

if anyone needs any kind of body/paint work, i highly recommend him. he does alot of stuff on the side and he's very talented, and VERY resonably priced. he works at the dent wizard off Peachtree ind. just inside 285.

i painted the wheels on my cobra a couple years ago....its good to get a fresh look for cheap, but i regretted it everyday

and torrid red gets more tickets....why? b/c its faster than any color ever mixed, lol :lmfao:

weak gm rearend owns me, i broke an axle a few months back and put in dss level 5's, then one of the bearings in the read end went, so now im just ***** footing it while i get some $ together, im going to do 3.91's, a one piece drive shaft, and dss stubs at the same time

well its a little of both... i used my camera phone sooo... yeah. however, yeah, as of now, the paint is from a rattle can, but i'm having them refinished within the next week or so so they'll look alot better. thanks for the comments!

well the final conclusion is they're gonna be more of a darker gunmetal color... so they wont be black anymore.. but i think the gunmetal will look HOT! :D
