I no longer have the mustang.
What do I have you might ask?
gee es tee.
for sure.
No pics yet, but it's a 97 GST, dark green with tan/black interior, and all stock. Needs a clutch but over all in decent condition.
Looks like this.

You got rid of a RWD car that (amazingly enough) doesn't drop in value for one who's value will plummet through the floor? And FWD at that? Well, congradulations. I hope that works for you.

thanks value guide guy.
how's the 626 holding value?
Besides, 12mpg < 22mpg (?)

02-24-2008, 02:30 AM
I'm aware that the value plummets on mine. It's part of the reason why I bought it. For $800, you can't go wrong for a V6 5 speed 626 that gets 30mpg. But you make a semi decent arguement as far as gas mileage goes. Besides, my car is lighter and roomier than yours. Yours only makes cool wooshing noises.

you right, your car is better/cooler, even without the wooshing noises.
actually it just whistles/whines.
lol got the spray can ready to hit the wheels!

Really man eat a ****, nobody wants to listen to your constant bashing of people's cars that incidentally are all nicer than yours. You should check blue book values on mustangs too, they hold their value about was well as a GM. ****ing roundmouth

Well, first off, if I was talking about you, I would've called out the ricer certified technician who boosts small displacement Hondas and fixes toyotas for a living. But I didn't since I that didn't take place GTFO---------------->
Besides, I wasn't bashing his car, didn't make any sense as to why he would downgrade from a Mustang GT convertible to an Eclipse GST. I just don't see the logic there

The reason you don't see the logic is because you aren't the one buying the car. What may be a downgrade to you, may not be to someone else. You can't refer to someone else's logic when you're not using any yourself. Later, QD.

Why? Were you going to buy it for him? Since he "shoulda" bought something that you wanted him to buy. Later, QD.

It was actually in worse shape when I got it.
I did a complete tune up, new exhaust, and rear end work. Not to mention all the cleaning and wet sanding/buffing I did.

Definatly upgraded his mustang, It was in much better condition when he got rid of it than when he got it. So Bump for him and Bump for QD, way to stand up for peeps. I'm sorry but GT with 160k on odometer is a chance I wouldnt stay with if I could get a GST with lower miles. Just saying.

LOL blackshine... congrats on the car man... to each his own... mustang to an eclipse isnt necessarily a downgrade... just a preference in quality and speed... you leave the speed and hit the quality...

I guess the mustang must have been that ragedy. I hope the GST works out for you. I just don't remember any DSM being reliable after mods. But it will definately be fun. Did those ever come with an LSD?

Gst don't get 22mpg, trust me I know.
I have a couple friends with them and they get more than 22 city, and a friend with a GT35r EVO and he's getting 19 I want to say. Interstate with them is amazing(for a DSM) as long as you're just cruising at 75-80

Thats a helluva insult you're throwing at me there man, I never realized a successful career and turboing Hondas was such a bad thing! BTW Ive turboed small displacement motors of other brands also

i just dont see why its a downgrade an older 5.0 to a newer gst with a lot of potential
good choice in my opinion.

I worked at one for a little bit until it closed down. I'd almost consider going back if I knew the dealer of choice had consistant work.

5.0 in general suck, the 4.6 mod motor has so much more potential, i dont blame him for switching

the last 5.0.
95 I consider older, not the fact that the 5.0 has been around forever and I had one of the last ones... except they were also in explorers/mountaineers till 00.

There are plenty of them out there, both dealers ive worked at have kept me more than busy and making enough money to live very nicely considering my age. Toyota is a strong product line to stick with and aren't near as bad as working on domestics IMO. On a side note i did try to race a Mazda in my truck last night but it beat me LOL.
