Its a waste of thread space for them to revive Freaknik.

Freaknik will fail...it should R.I.P.

I do know I didn't think that was a safe enviroment and I doubt it would get any better. I see it as a failure.

I couldn't choose either option. I could vote for OPTION 3, but Freaknik didn't really bring out a diverse crowd.

I loved Freaknik. Had a great time each year. I'm glad it was removed because year after year, it got worse and worse. It'll never be brought back close to the level it was because not one city official will agree to any form of it. Later, QD.

I thought it was crazy... When I came in 96 and saw that ****.. I was wooooaa.. People getting blow jobs literally in the middle of the streets.

The QT on North decatur rd of memorial drive would get literally shutdown.

freaknic was a disgrace to this city. I remember back in 95 i had to go to briercliff mall for some reason and for the entire day i got stuck at the mall cause the police had blocked the place of.

Do you guys remember crime rates when frecknic was around?

I hope it never come back.

i came down here from jersey in '94 and saw it the next year lemme tell you for a damn 9 year old that was an eye opener it was like some big badly done southern version of the block parties i used to go to all the time in my neighborhood. They were right to call it "FREAK"nik.. way too many freaks out there

Atlanta has moved past Freaknik. Having a Freaknik would be a step backwards for the city. No point in trying start it up again. There's still Daytona.

I came here in '94? I think that was the year Tupac was supposed to perform at Piedmont. Anyway I remember seeing a local news anchor referring to the people as "Freakniccers"...

I was only 11, but I was like naaaaah I wont be coming back to this ever again

BIG waste of time. I went and it sucked. So much racial tension you could cut it with a knife. I was there when they looted underground, lazy ****ers should get a job and actually support the economy instead of stealing sh1t from hard working americans. Its not always blacks though but it seems a majority are. As far as bringing money and business? Freaknik fukked over alot of people, businesses had to close down for the weekend due to that sh1t, those people werent buying anything, hell they brought all the sh1t they needed and then crowded the streets with their nuisance. I hope they NEVER bring that sh1t here again.

I wish I could have went but I was a young one. But if they brought it back.....that would be a very sad day. 9 out of 10 black people have guns these days. Someone would step on my new Jordans and it would be ON. These days...something would go really wrong.
