If you work at an electronics store like Best Buy, Circuit City, Frys, etc...

IA needs your help!!

I will hook your store up with Advertising on the upcoming website powered by ImportAtlanta.com. Helping us out will be much appreciated from us and could possibly lead to a promotion or raise for you at your work for giving your boss such a great idea...

im pretty sure you would have to run it through those companies on a corporate level. not even the GMs have the power to make those decisions :)

True but there are way to direct the flow of traffic to specific store locations without having to go through the corporate hoops. The idea we have is a great way to promote any store or or company that offers what we are looking for.

example would be like.... 99x goes to a best buy store and announces on the radio that they will be at that store giving away tickets to a show and to stop buy and try to win them....

only this is a little bigger than a pair of concert tickets ;)

i still think you would need to run it through corporate, being corporate owned everything has to go through some level of HQ. even working for a smaller corporate company radio stations had to go through corporate and the GMs just did what corprate told them to do. ie they had no clue what was going on when radio showed up bc radio only talked to corporate

I would do exactly the opposite of anything you advise.

Chris, you have it right. The employee can mention this opportunity to his manager or store manager and then that manager can go through the proper channels to get an approval or not. That way, the IA member/store employee is involved. Later, QD.

If someone who works at one of these store's could get you the number for the person who handles advertising/marketing you would be headed in the right direction...but, I highly doubt a store manager is gonna give **** about it.

... nobody has any idea what this is for or what we are doing yet. So when you mention.... IT..... what is IT you are referring to?

she IS right. the managers of these big box stores already have alot on their plates... too much bs to worry about marketing when marketing isn't in their job descriptions. call HR and go that route... thats exactly what teh store managers will tell you.

Not necessarily, dummy. It's called going through the chain of command. Like I said before, let the IA member/employer get involved with this "change." The store manager can tell the employee where to go from there. You and you know what might only want to contribute stupidity to this site, but other, more respectable members, might want to try to do good for it. Later, QD.

My BestBuy store is a lab store... 1 of 3 in the US. This means we can come up with our own ideas and test them without corporate permission to do so. However... with that said... honestly, BestBuy and any other reputable business will NOT support any organization that promotes porn and street racing. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with either but the PR department says otherwise. Good luck none the less.
