what about putting back a section where people can request a service or ask a general question of all the vendors/sponsors.

I need to find a Brian Crower dealer, but I don't want to spam each individual sponsors sub section to find out who is a BC dealer.

well, imo its a good idea and is used in many other forums.... sponsors need rules too though. what if we put together a small packet to give to new sponsors. Include in that packet Rules they MUST follow or we can void their contract with no refund :)

one rule being... Sponsors absolutely CAN NOT give out prices, quotes, bids, etc... publicly. bust be emailed, PMed, or whatever....

ideas??

You always talking on how other forums do it.. seriously, who gives a **** what other forums do...

We are not here to be copying every other forum.. if that was the case.. IA wouldnt be around 7 years...

You could disallow public pricing of products or services. The goal of providing sponsors a place on the forum is for them to make money from the users, and then cut the site a little $$ for the space......... but only if it remains profitable.

If every request turned into a cut throat grab for the customer it defeats the purpose.

I understand if it's more hastle than it's worth, probably why the old format went away.
