I was out this weekend and took a ride up to the lake with the accord. Snapped a few pics while in shock of the low levels of the lake! I have fished on it a few weeks ago but its still really low and I haven't been to this one ramp since May.

Here are the pics of the newest mod :D

i like the front bumper; needs fogs. an the lake does look low in that one pic

My opinion:

Change wheels, lose mesh, lose hood pins.

looking good Trav  ......just that little gap over the grill & hood.....i'm not feeling

Lose side skirts, and probably rear bumber as well. I like the front end because it is Acuraish and could look badass if cleaned up. Like mentioned above fog lights would help.

Nittanys1
02-19-2008, 10:20 PM
yeah i have fogs for it, they have been molded for them but the body shop molded them too far back and they hit the bumper rail when installed so I need to get that taken care of..

My opinion:

Change wheels, lose mesh, lose hood pins.

working on the wheels and the hood LOCK are the newest thing added im not going to take them out of my cf hood...thats just dumb..its a safety issue....

yeah nothing I can do about that...

LOL at safety issue! Ive gone 160 with my carbon hood with no pins. Doesnt seem like your car would go anywhere near that. I think the bumber would fly off before the hood does.

LOL @ Wicked!

Nittanys1
02-19-2008, 10:25 PM
I'm not risking it...simple as that so yeah it is a safety issue, the hood does wobble a little at highway speeds thus why I added them....and who the hell would take locks off when there are not holes in the hood....ohh and i dont recall saying my car could do 160.....go back to your evo and have fun....

I dont recall saying you said your car can do that. Just said that i went 160 without hood pins so i think you would be fine without them.

I like the front end. The side skirts are a little too much, but other than that looks good. To bad the lake is so low or else the pics would look alot better. Not saying the pics are bad. It is just aweful to look at that lake and see how low it is.

Almost forgot is the mesh in the grills two different styles or are the pics not showing it right?

Props on the car......

Lose the wheels, sides, fill the gap between the grill and hood, and also work on the mesh. It doesn't seem like its cut to fit.

Other then that, looks good.

Nittanys1
02-19-2008, 10:40 PM
the grill came with the bumper...its cut to fit.... the gap stays....I'm working on the wheels but am having a time trying to find 19s the clear the big brake kit and are 4 lug.....

someones a complete badass................doing 160 with a carbon fiber hood. living on the edge. lets do 160 together in our cars while drinking some mtn. dew and listening to some "highway into the danger zone". i think that would be extreme

j0nbunklah0m
02-19-2008, 11:42 PM
or maybe u could cut the top of the bumper and have the messh go all the way up to the hood?:2cents:

Nittanys1
02-19-2008, 11:48 PM
naw I did that on my last bumper...it looks like crap when the hood is opened at the shows...and doesnt look that good when closed...The hood doesnt bother me at all cuz there isnt anything that can be done to it...thats the way it is...

do your thing trav, i had the pins on my spec when i totalled it was a good thing its the only thing that kept it from coming through my windshield, broke off @ the back and the latch portion broke off in the lock god bless the pins! lol

LOL at safety issue! Ive gone 160 with my carbon hood with no pins. Doesnt seem like your car would go anywhere near that. I think the bumber would fly off before the hood does.

It's more the design/weakness of the latch assembly than anything. He also has a gap that probably sees a good bit of lift at even highway speeds.

02-20-2008, 12:36 PM
i've always been a fan of your car nittany. grats on the cleaned up look and keep it up.

lol @ wicked having his head up his ass.

Nittanys1
02-20-2008, 01:07 PM
^thxs! I did have a lot of wind going under the hood causing it to wobble very little but I was tire of taking the chance of having a problem. the gap in the hood doesn't have that much of an effect its the big hold in the kit just below that, that takes in most of the air...
